Ritual, Romance, Reciting Poetry and Releasing Emotions

It’s hard to believe but we’ve been coming together on this mountain in North Alabama for 15 years. The friendships formed, the teaching received and given, the laughter, poetry, music, grief, and celebration has touched hundreds and hundreds of men, sons, fathers, uncles, and grandfathers.

While every gathering has been unique this year’s gathering promises something many of you men have been requesting for some time now and I have wanted to experience myself and that is the gifts that only one of the best teachers in America can bring--RITUAL--as taught by North African Malidoma Some. Many of you know him, have heard of him, read him or been blessed by him. I have had the honor to teach with him before and I can assure y’all you are in for a life-changing experience.

Come join Robert Bly, poet par excellence and founder/father of the men’s movement in his 81st year, me in my 57th, and Mentone in its 15th, so be sure to register early this year. The last two years we have not been able to accommodate all the men who wanted to attend and this year promises the same wonderful problem to have.
